Tincture

The Sentinels are material creatures in many ways, much like you or I. That is to say that they walk the same earth, and drink of the same water. Though in other configurations of their character, both material and spiritual, we must presume they draw from a much wider, more enchanted pool.

Beasts, then. But beasts imbued with some other property. Beasts so precious a single one might move nations.

My knowledge of the great beings comes from the accountings, reports and other representations it has been my duty to study. The pictorial representations of the early Quom tribesmen, and the illustrations of Sentinel archivists long dead.
